First of the so-called new generation of Ocean yachts when she was introduced back in 1990, the muscular 58 Super Sport was built on an low-deadrise, modified-V hull design with cored hullsides, a shallow keel, and a well-flared bow. Belowdecks, her innovative three-stateroom, three head layout is arranged with the huge full-width master stateroom located beneath the raised salon sole, a giant departure from conventional convertible floorplans of her day. Like all Ocean models, the 58' features a luxurious varnished teak interior with upscale furnishings and color-coordinated fabrics throughout. On deck, the 58s tournament-sized cockpit features molded tackle centers, cockpit controls, teak covering boards, transom door, and direct access to the spacious engine room. The flybridge is extremely large with three helm chairs and a U-shaped lounge seating forward of the helm console.
