The 36 Albin Express trawler comes from the design board of Terry Compton and embodies traditional trawler attributes combined with modern performance. She has twin Yanmar 315 HP diesels and offers the ability to cruise on a plane or at displacement speeds for incredible economy. Her two stateroom arrangement allows for comfortable accommodations for a cruising couple or for the whole family. Accommodations
Starting forward is a spacious v-berth with 8 drawers underneath. Shelf storage is on both sides and a hanging locker is to port. Opening stainless steel side ports (throughout) and a deck hatch provide good ventilation if not using the reverse cycle air conditioning. The head is next to starboard and includes a Jabsco electric flush toilet and separate shower stall. To port is a private second stateroom with a queen sized double berthbureau with drawers and hanging locker. Up three steps is the main salon with helm station to starboard and Galley aft. To Port is a U-shaped settee with dinette table on a movable pedestal. A full sized glass door opens to the covered aft deck. The solid swim platform with safety rails is next aft through an opening transom door. The flybridge has full duplicate electronics a bimini with cushioned seating and locker storage and an ice maker.
Galley
The fore and aft galley is on the starboard side aft of the helm stations and features aunder counter Norcoldrefrigerator/freezer and a 3-burner force 10 Electric stove and oven. A split stainless steel sink with pressure hotand cold water is surrounded by ample counter tops and drawers underneath. A microwave is located above in a cherry cupboard. A full chest freezer is located in an aft cockpit settee.
Cockpit
The aft cockpit offers lovely covered living space with hard top and fixed side seating with white vinyl cushions. A pressure hotand cold shower nozzle serves the swim platform area through the transom door. Built in to the cockpit seating is a Brunnert holding plate freezer system.
