Salon
Up one step to the spacious and wellappointedsalon. It ishere that you begin to truly appreciate the fine satin finished teak joinery that is to be found throughout the yacht. "Elegant" is best used to describe the interior woodwork. The lower helm is found to starboard with deck doors to "both" port and starboard. Combined with the numerous windows one has a great view no matter which direction you are looking in. Again great cross ventilation with the two opening doors on either side of the salon. Many cruising vessels in this size range only have the one door and that does not make for easy line handling. Maranatha is a dream to handle by two people. There is a comfortable helm seat with icemaker underneath. When the weather in inclement one can be below and continue on your way in either cold a/cor if you are in a cold climate there is always heat. The L-shaped settee is located to starboard and is a lovely neutral upholstery with a teak andglass hi-lo table located in front of the settee. An interesting note is that the cushions were still in their original wrappers when the present owners purchased her fouryears ago. The impeccable teak parquet flooring has a lovely area rug that is very nautical. To starboard adjacent to the entertainment center with bulkhead mounted flat screen TV (swivels to be seen from master stateroom aft) is a fold down computer/cocktail table that was custom designed for Maranatha. There is a wonderful swivel chair for use when the table is in computer mode. The entertainment center has bookshelves and storage below.
Galley
There is a great galley that is located up three steps from the forward guest suite and to port. There is plenty of natural light with Maranathas large forward windows. The sea going chef is going to be very pleased with the layout of this galley. There is an abundance of storage and Silestone counter spaces. This well equipped galley is comparable to many home kitchens. There is a teak breakfast bar with storage underneath between the galley and salon. Dishes cocktail glasses pots and pans coffee maker toaster flatware for at least 6 people etc. all go with the boat. All you have to do is bring your food and go cruising. She is ready!Kenyon electric ceramic top 3-burner stoveGEmicrowave/convection ovenNorcold DE[removed phone]V/110V refrigeratorwhich is teak clad to match the rest of the cabinetryU-Line icemaker which is teak clad to match the cabinetryRaritan water heaterPolished s/s double sinkFranke faucet set(8) Drawers(5) Cabinetsstorage cubby over fridgeAll of the cabinets are easy to reach including the overhead storage lockers
Master Stateroom
Down three steps from the salon brings you to the private master suite with centerline queen berth featuring a new 2009custom mattress. This stateroom evokes elegance with its beautiful teak cabinetry. A very useful make-up vanity with seat is located to port. An amazing amount of storage is found in this suite including eight drawers sixteen cabinets and Home Sized cedar lined closets. A built-in Splendide washer/dryer with storage above completes this room. The ensuite bath with Silestone topped vanity & sink separate stall shower with enclosure ample cabinetry and Vacu-flush toilet creates a Master Suite in the finest sense of the word.
Guest Stateroom 1
Starting forward at the bow we find the spacious guest suite with an offset double berth that is easy to access. No taking three running steps and flinging yourself into the berth. There is a very useful dressing seat adjacent to the double berth. As one always finds in an Ocean Alexander there is ample storage in this stateroom including book shelves a hanging locker which is cedar lined fivedrawers of storage and a cavernous space under the berth. There are two opening ports with screens as well as a large overhead hatch also fitted with a screen. Natural light and good cross ventilation is very much a part of this guest suite. There is access to the forward chain locker which makes periodic chain inspection very easy to accomplish. If you are a weather buff and want to check air pressures before rising there is a lovely Weems & Plath Brass Barometer mounted on the cabin wall. Proceeding aft to starboard is the guest head which also serves as a day head. There is a very spacious enclosed shower stall and new shower handle set and a Vacu-flush toilet. The Silestone topped vanity with sink also has a Grohe faucet. The mirrored overheadprovides an illusion of great height and space. A 6+ person will have no troubles in this head. There is a medicine cabinet andample storage all in lovely matching satin teak.
Fly Bridge
The fully enclosed bridge has twin helm chairs and an L-shaped portside settee with storage underneath. Visibility is extremely good from the bridge. An easy care fiberglass dining table for six allows for fine al fresco dining. The presence of a day cooler overhead rod racks and voluminous storage under the well appointed helm creates a very user friendly bridge.Maranathas mast adds to her general saltiness. Located also on the sundeck is a davit should one have some heavy lifting to do. There are custom stainless steel rails and comfortable seating for fourpeople. A great place to put out the lounge chairs and grab some rays or hold your loved ones hands while star gazing.
